Movie:Dheemanta Manushya- (Review)
Starring:- AGopal Shetty Korgal, Madhu, Biradar, Kushi
Director:- Tarani
Our Rating: **
Here is a source of motivation for physically challenged persons and senior citizens who lead life without any hope. Kudos to Gopal Shetty who is the creator of Dheemanta Manushya – Principled Man. Though it has all the ingredients of a commercial film, the focus is mainly on the theme- physically challenged persons don't need sympathy but self confidence. Gopal Shetty lead by example, showing that physical disability can never be an obstacle to achievement. Being himself a physically challenged person he has been a Gopal, an advocate in real life plays the same in the movie. Though he is old, he is enthusiastic, aggressive and follower of principles. That makes for a realistic character portrayal.
The plot is a showcase of the good qualities of Gopal as a human being. He shows the will, courage and urge-vital things for any person to accomplish something isn life.
Director Tarani has tried to make the film entertaining as well as message oriented one. The intention of the duo is clear from the start; conveying a message of the importance of self-worth, discipline and dignity in life, even if certain things cannot be changed. But the film's main drawback is that it is more of a documentary on Gopal's life than a movie.
